Makhanalin Bolat is the president of the «Support of National Sports» (in Kazakh: Ұлттық спортты қолдау) foundation and editor-in-chief of offside.kz. He is also the founder of the 1bol.kz project and media manager for a number of national media outlets, including Liter, Aikyn, Golos-naroda and others.

Bolat is also a member of the board of trustees of the Association of Sports Journalists of Kazakhstan (AIPS), where he is actively involved in developing and supporting sports journalism in the country.
